Authenticity Through Perseverance

MISSION STATEMENT: My mission is to encourage perseverance in others to pursue their innermost passions, so that they can find the self-love that will permanently validate their soul.

You were not born to become digestible.

You were not built to spend your life shrinking yourself into something that earns approval from people who abandoned themselves long ago.

Yet every day, you betray your own reflection for acceptance.

You silence your instincts.

You suppress your ambition.

You perform.

You pretend.

And little by little, you disappear.

Not all death is physical.

Some people die the moment they choose a life that isn’t theirs.

The truth is brutal:

Your fear of judgment has imprisoned you longer than failure ever could.

That tension you feel?

That exhaustion?

That quiet resentment toward your own life?

That’s not confusion.

That’s the cost of self-abandonment.

Because deep down, there is another version of you demanding to exist.

A version untouched by approval.

A version driven by truth instead of validation.

A version that wakes up hungry, disciplined, alive.

And every day you delay becoming them, you feel the distance.

But misery ends the moment honesty begins.

The moment you stop asking the world for permission.

The moment you stop negotiating with your potential.

The moment you realize self-love is not softness. It is war against everything trying to make you smaller.

This is your line in the sand.

No more hiding.

No more performing.

No more living half-alive.

Become the person you were meant to be.

Not the safest version.

Not the acceptable version.

The real one.

Because the world does not need another copy.

It needs the version of you that only you can become.

So rise.

Do the work.

Face yourself.

Choose truth daily.

And when tomorrow comes:

Beat yesterday. Every day.

VISION: I imagine a world where curious individuals uncover a greater sense of self-love, hope, peace, radical acceptance, and strength, so that they can break from societal restraints and live their most authentic lives.

I speak to teenagers and young adults around the country about persevering through life's many adversities. Through sharing my own personal story of:

1. Overcoming a public paternity scandal,

2. Making it to the NFL, after not having a single scholarship offer coming out of high school,

3. Navigating life after being labeled One of the Most Hated Bachelors, as lead of ABC's The Bachelor, and

4. Struggling with "not feeling good enough", anxiety, depression, body dysmorphia, fear of judgment, comparison culture stemming from social media usage, & identity confusion/inauthenticity,

I hope to inspire others and show them that they possess the same ability within to persevere through any adversities that they face.

I discuss how topics like mindfulness, journaling, therapy, interpersonal support systems, physical energetic outlets (ie strength training, hip-hop & salsa dancing), and realistic goal-setting helped me combat the feeling of wanting to "give up" in times when adversity hit its hardest. Through sharing the positive mechanisms that worked best for me, teenagers and young adults may be made aware of new outlets that could work for them in times of struggle.

These mental health conversations are highly impactful toward instilling "hope in the hopeless", showing others that "You are not alone", and revealing that true strength lies in the vulnerability of sharing our struggles with others.
